<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Rating:</u> 4 STARS</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Polaris Rising opens up with Ada being captured and locked up on a space ship. She has been on the run for two years from her father, who wanted to marry her off, and now she has got captured and is on her way back to her father. So from the very start of Polaris Rising we are thrown right into the thick of things and I really liked that because a lot of books take a while to build up to something exciting (and that's okay) but I'm glad that this book just catches your attention straight away.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I really liked Ada and found her an interesting character, I liked how she thought. She's a character not afraid to take action but she also thinks and plans things out which I liked, she's good at strategising. I also liked Loch, even though he's a hard character to understand sometimes, and I liked Ada and his interactions with each other and how they teamed up in the beginning and came to rely on each other throughout the book. It made the romance have more depth to it when it developed.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I liked how the universe in Polaris Rising was described, it all felt well developed and I especially like how the Houses were described. The politics between these leading Houses was all very intriguing to read and the Houses felt unique to one another. I can't wait to see if we find out more about the other Houses in future books.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Overall I enjoyed Polaris Rising a lot and think it's an interesting sci-fi/romance book with great characters and a well developed world/universe. The plot was fast paced and never boring, I'm very excited for the next book. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Rating:</u> 4 STARS</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">The Cursed Sea opens up where The Glass Spare left off. At the beginning of The Cursed Sea Wil is back in Northern Arrod, her home kingdom, trying to find answers for Pahn that will save Loom. I liked seeing the reunion of Wil and her family, it was something I was waiting on since she left her home in The Glass Spare. It was really nice to see her meet with Gerdie again and I thought it interesting how Barren reacted to her.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">The Cursed Sea centres on the mystery of Wil and her family and what made them 'cursed'. I liked how that was the centre of this book because I was expecting it to focus on the impending war between the two kingdoms but I'm glad that that was more of a side story to the main story of Wil and her curse.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">In the beginning of The Cursed Sea Wil is very focused on Loom and after the initial reunion with her family she is very much concentrated on Loom and his predicament and I didn't like that because I found the family dynamics much more interesting in this duology than the romance so to see Wil more focused on this guy she just met a few weeks ago than her family kind of annoyed me but I will say that only lasted a short while before the story came back around to the family.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">And although I disliked how Loom held Wil's attention more than her family at the beginning, I still liked the romance of this book and I do like Loom as well. I also liked how we see more of Loom and Espel's complicated sibling relationship in this book.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Overall I thought this was a great sequel and conclusion to this duology. I really liked the intricate mystery behind Wil's family and I thought it was just as fast paced as the first. The ending was great and I liked how it wrapped everything up. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I went straight onto this book after finishing the first and I liked this just as much. I liked how the mystery of the family curse was explained and I thought this was a great conclusion to the duology.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno</u> - 2 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I liked the beginning of this book, it builds up this mysterious magical island and family very well and at the beginning I thought this could end up being a 5 STAR read but then things started to go downhill. I didn't find any of the characters that interesting and as the plot went on I found things to be very predictable, some of the main mysteries in this book were easily guessed. <b><i>(spoilers and content warning ahead)</i></b> This book deals with the topic of rape and I didn't like how that became one of the mysteries in this book. This is only my opinion and I know many people loved it so I'd recommend reading more reviews of it.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I liked this book and found the characters and the space politics interesting. This is a great sci-fi/romance book with intriguing world building.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>Girls of Paper and Fire (Girls of Paper and Fire book 1) by Natasha Ngan</u> - 4 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I've wanted to read this book since it was released but because of the subject matter of the book I was hesitant. This book deals with topics of rape and sexual abuse so that makes it a very hard read so I can't say this was an enjoyable read but I did like the writing. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>Under A Dancing Star by Laura Wood</u> - 5 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved this book a lot. The main reason I picked this book up was because I liked the authors other book, A Sky Painted Gold, and thought I would like this and I was right. This book takes place in the 1930s and is about a girl trying to find her place in the world even if it seems like it's already been decided for her. I would highly recommend reading this and I'll be doing a full review of it soon.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I was disappointed in this book. It was an okay read but I didn't like the characters and although the plot was action packed I still felt like nothing really happened in it. I liked the ending and it did get exciting in the run up to the ending.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I've read a lot of book series over the years and there have been many a sequel and conclusion that I loved but today on my blog I thought I'd list some of the book sequels/conclusions that have disappointed me. I have loved nearly all the first books in these series but I really feel that a lot of the sequels and endings on this list were not needed and were not as good as previous books in the series. I've also linked this post up with this week's Top Ten Tuesday (a weekly feature hosted by <a href="http://www.thatartsyreadergirl.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">That Artsy Reader Girl</a>) topic since this week's topic was: freebie.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace; font-size: large;">Wilhelmina Heidle, the fourth child and only daughter of the king of the world’s wealthiest nation, has grown up in the shadows. Kept hidden from the world in order to serve as a spy for her father—whose obsession with building his empire is causing a war—Wil wants nothing more than to explore the world beyond her kingdom, if only her father would give her the chance.</span> </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace; font-size: large;">Until one night Wil is attacked, and she discovers a dangerous secret. Her touch turns people into gemstone. At first Wil is horrified—but as she tests its limits, she’s drawn more and more to the strange and volatile ability. When it leads to tragedy, though, Wil is forced to face the destructive power within her and finally leave her home to seek the truth and a cure.</span> </blockquote>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">The Glass Spare sounded very interesting to me and I've loved the author's previous books so I knew there was a good chance I'd love this book and I did. The writing was one of my favourite things about this book, I just love the way the author tells stories and I love how emotional they feel because of the writing.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">The story intrigued me a lot and I really wanted to read more because I was excited to see what was happening next. And even though it could come across as generic, with certain tropes like instalove and how the main character finds an unknown power that leaves her seeking answers, I thought this book was entertaining and it really held my interest. The plot was also very fast paced and that along with the writing really made this book feel like such a quick read.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">One of the things I really liked about The Glass Spare was the interesting family dynamics between Wil and the rest of her family. I loved reading about her and her brothers and the different kinds of bonds they had with each other, each bond was unique. And even the family dynamics of the warring kingdom were interesting to read about. The characters all felt well rounded and interesting to read about, all their own personalities shone through. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Overall I really liked The Glass Spare and I was glad I picked it up. It's a great YA fantasy with interesting characters and an intriguing story and writing that really makes the pages fly by.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers book 1) by Becky Chambers</u> - 4 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I really enjoyed this book and thought the universe and alien species that the author created were very interesting and made me want to read more about them. Each species had so much depth and complexity while still being easy to understand. I really liked the characters and the story of this book.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>A Closed and Common Orbit (Wayfarers book 2) by Becky Chambers</u> - 4 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I went straight onto the second book in this series after finishing the first and although it isn't about the same characters as the first, I still enjoyed this book a lot. I found this book to be a lot more emotional than the first and I liked the flashback chapters that told the characters backstory.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>Record of a Spaceborn Few (Wayfarers book 3) by Becky Chambers</u> - 3 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I was torn between giving this book 2 or 3 STARS (I still might change it). I enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy and was shocked at how disappointed I was in this book. I didn't feel connected to any characters and felt that the characters and the overall storyline felt a bit pointless. </span></div>

<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
Skinny, nine-year-old orphaned Dores is working in the kitchen of a sugar plantation in 1930s Brazil when in walks a girl who changes everything. Graça, the spoiled daughter of a wealthy sugar baron, is clever, well fed, pretty, and thrillingly ill behaved. Born to wildly different worlds, Dores and Graça quickly bond over shared mischief, and then, on a deeper level, over music. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
One has a voice like a songbird; the other feels melodies in her soul and composes lyrics to match. Music will become their shared passion, the source of their partnership and their rivalry, and for each, the only way out of the life to which each was born. But only one of the two is destined to be a star. Their intimate, volatile bond will determine each of their fortunes--and haunt their memories. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: justify;">
Traveling from Brazil's inland sugar plantations to the rowdy streets of Lapa in Rio de Janeiro, from Los Angeles during the Golden Age of Hollywood back to the irresistible drumbeat of home, The Air You Breathe unfurls a moving portrait of a lifelong friendship--its unparalleled rewards and lasting losses--and considers what we owe to the relationships that shape our lives.</blockquote>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Rating:</u> 5 STARS</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">The Air You Breathe is a beautifully written book set in 1930s Brazil and is about a deep complex friendship and I loved it, it's one of those books that are so emotionally poignant that the story just stays with you.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">The Air You Breathe is about Dores and Graça, two friends from childhood who grew up together and formed such a deep friendship despite coming from different backgrounds. Dores is an orphan working in the kitchen of Graças household. Graça is the opposite, spoiled and tended to. This story had such an unlikely tale of friendship and I loved that. And I also loved how flawed the friendship of Dores and Graça was as well, it wasn't always perfect and that made their bond with each other have more depth to it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">We read from Dores' point of view and the book is her telling her story so we experience her whole life within these pages. At the beginning Dores is an old woman reflecting on her life and she tells us that Graça is dead and has been for a long time so from the very beginning you just know this book is going to be an emotional rollarcoaster.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">We see Dores as a young child growing up, meeting Graça, developing this intense friendship with her, them both finding their love for music and breaking free from their own societal confines to pursue the life they both want in the music industry.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">The writing is so beautiful, it really makes your heart ache for the characters especially the present day parts where you get a look at how important on retrospect these moments in Dores' life were for her.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I also loved the overall feeling and atmosphere that surrounded the setting of this book. I felt totally transported by the way the author described the places, music and time of the book. I loved reading about the cultural aspects and the talk of samba music.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Overall I loved this book, it's one of my favourite books of the year and I think it's an incredibly beautiful book about meaningful friendship. Although I don't usually like comparing books I do feel that this book is a mix of both The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones and The Six but it also has its own great story and characters. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Even though I enjoyed Warcross I was put off reading Wildcard because I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about it but I ended up loving this book and I liked it even more than the first one.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I thought the story in Wildcard was very exciting and it really felt like the stakes were raised. I loved being inside this world again, it is so interesting to read and very easy to imagine. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I felt even more attached to the characters and I liked how the back stories were explained. I liked finding out the characters motivations behind everything and I thought there were some really interesting twists in this book that surprised me. I'm still not a fan of the romance in these books but I felt there was a lot more to the story than that so I didn't mind it that much.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Everything felt more emotional, from the characters to the overall storyline. Maybe it was because we've already been introduced to the world but I felt more connected to the world in Wildcard and I thought the imagery of the world was fantastic. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Overall I thought this was a great conclusion to the Warcross duology. Even though I liked Warcross I felt so much more emotionally invested in Wildcard and I liked reading the characters back stories and thought there was some interesting twists. I've read Marie Lu's previous series' and I loved how she ended them and I feel the same way about Wildcard.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I enjoyed Vicious a lot so I was shocked at how much I ended up disliking Vengeful.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Vengeful felt like a completely different story to Vicious. Vicious centred on Eli and Victor and their interestingly twisted relationship with each other and I really wanted to read more about that but instead in Vengeful the story was not centred on them but on new characters. I felt most of the story focused on these new characters and I didn't feel connected to them so I didn't care about most of the book.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I didn't like Marcella's character but as I was reading I thought that there must be more to this character for her to be built up in such a way, I thought she must link up to the original characters or storyline. And although her character did cross paths with the others it wasn't in the way I was expecting because there was really no ultimate reasoning behind why her character was built up.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I also felt that the characters were a shell of themselves. Victor and Eli didn't feel like the quirky characters they did in Vicious and Sydney seemed like a different character all together, becoming much more dependant and in need of reassurance.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Overall I wish I had have known some of these things before reading Vengeful. I was very disappointed in this book and I felt like it didn't keep the same interesting quirky feeling as the first book had.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>The Air You Breathe by Frances de Pontes Peebles</u> - 5 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">The Air You Breathe is definitely one of my favourite books of this year, I loved it so much. It's such a beautifully written story about complex friendship and the characters and story are very memorable. I will be posting my full review of it sometime this month.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>Soulless (Parasol Protectorate book 1) by Gail Carriger</u> - 3 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I thought this book was an okay read, the story was enjoyable but it didn't leave much of a lasting impression on me so I don't know if I want to continue with the series or not.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan</u> - 2 STARS</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I was really disappointed in this book. I know the premise is about these super rich families but I wasn't expecting to dislike every character, they were all a bit 2D and I also thought the main couple had no chemistry.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved Godsgrave and thought it was such an interesting sequel. The two books feel like different stories but are both still so amazing. One of the reasons why I think Nevernight and Godsgrave feel so different is the plot. Nevernight was set in a school and was focused on Mia's training whereas Godsgrave is about Mia competing in a gladiator style championship to win her chance at the revenge she has sworn to exact.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved how far Mia has come, from being unsure and learning her skill set in Nevernight to becoming more confident and using those skills with a vengeance in Godsgrave. She is solely focused on getting revenge in Godsgrave and it was interesting to read how far she was willing to go for it.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">There were some really interesting character developments in Godsgrave especially the relationship between Aislinn and Mia. I think that provided a whole new interesting layer to the story because their relationship has been so up and down throughout the course of the two books that you really can't second guess how they truly feel about each other. There were a lot of new characters introduced in Godsgrave and I liked finding out more about each one as the story progressed.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Just like the first book there were so many shocking twists and turns in Godsgrave. So many interesting revelations came to light all throughout this book.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Overall I loved Godsgrave. It's so great to witness Mia's growth as a character and I loved being constantly surprised by the storyline. I can't wait to see how the trilogy concludes in the next book. If you liked Nevernight, I think you'll love Godsgrave.</span></div>

The original tag was created by <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YATztC2ynI" target="_blank">xonikkee</a> on booktube and I'd suggest checking out her video because you can get more info on the Kpop terms. <span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><u>My Review:</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">The Exact Opposite of Okay was one of my favourite books of last year, I absolutely loved it. When I found out about a sequel, I was kind of surprised since I thought The Exact Opposite of Okay ended really well and didn't seem to need a sequel but then I started to get more excited for the sequel because I wanted to read more about Izzy's story.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I did like A Girl Called Shameless but I was disappointed by it. Even though some big things happen in this book (like standing up and trying to end things like revenge porn and slut shaming), I felt that there wasn't enough things happening to warrant another book and I feel that most of A Girl Called Shameless could've been told in an epilogue at the end of The Exact Opposite of Okay.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Like I said, I did like this book and I enjoyed reading Izzy's witty banter but I thought her personality was slightly dulled compared to the first book. I also felt like we didn't see much of the vulnerable side to Izzy that had progressed so much in The Exact Opposite of Okay.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I did like the overall message just like the first book and I loved how Izzy fought to get stuff done but at the same time I felt that I connected with the important topic more in the first book because it was so personal for Izzy that it made me feel more emotionally invested in the story than I was in A Girl Called Shameless. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Overall I enjoyed A Girl Called Shameless but not as much as the first book. I still love Izzy and think she's a strong character. And even though I didn't feel as emotionally invested in this book as I did the first, I still like the overall message and think it's an important one.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved Godsgrave and The Nevernight Chronicle series has quickly became a favourite of mine. I loved the overall plot and the character development in this book and loved the new characters that were introduced.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I was disappointed in The Wicked King, I found it an entertaining read but didn't think there was much development with the characters and their relationships with each other. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved The Exact Opposite of Okay and I like Izzy's character but I don't think there needed to be another book. I wasn't as emotionally invested in this book as I was the first book.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I loved Wildcard even more than Warcross and I love how this duology ended. I felt more attached to the characters in this one and I liked finding out more about their back stories.</span></div>
